Moose Jaw Police responded to 58 calls for service

7:56 am – 800 block 5th Ave NW – Dog Barking – Police are still investigating to speak with the home owner.

8:07 am – 800 block Elizabeth St – Theft of Bike – A green and black men’s bike was stolen sometime overnight. Police are continuing to investigate.

9:43 am – 800 block 6th Ave NW – Suspicious Person – An unknown person was seen in back yard of complainant checking gas meter. Police located a person nearby and confirmed through ID that the person was employed by a contracting company working for Saskenergy checking for underground gas leaks.

9:59 am – 100 block Athabasca St E – Suspicious Person – A person seen camping in the park was gone on Police arrival. Extra patrols were requested to prohibit people from camping in the park.

10:10 am – 1100 block Athabasca St W – Trespass – An adult was charged for unlawfully being in a dwelling unit and was released on an appearance notice to attend court at a later date.

10:32 am – 400 block Maple St W – Dog Dangerous – Complainant’s dog was attacked by another dog not properly restrained. Police are still investigating.

11:52 am – 1300 block 11th Ave SW – Theft of Electronics & other property – Police are investigating to speak with possible suspect.

12:01 pm – 9th Ave NW at 1 Highway W – 2 Vehicle Collision – Motorcycle vs semi. There was one serious but non-life threatening injury, with approximately $5,000 in damage. One driver was charged with leaving the stop sign before safe.

1:15 pm – 200 block River St E – Dispute – Police spoke to all parties and mediated the situation.

1:21 pm – 400 block Langdon Cr – Breach of Court Order – A subject was arrested and charged with breaching condition on court order and was detained to attend court in the morning.

2:54 pm – 300 Main St N – Fraud – Police are investigating to contact complainant’s bank.

3:08 pm – 900 Main St N – Intoxicated Person – An adult was warned for causing a disturbance.

3:14 pm – 1000 block Ominica St E – Mischief – A glass table was damaged, and was reported for information purposes. 

3:17 pm – 0 block Main St N – Loitering – A subject was spoken to and asked to move along.

3:34 – 1200 block Main St N – Hit & run to vehicle – There was damage to the passenger side front fender estimated at $1,000, with no paint transfer.

4:34 pm – 0 block Diefenbaker Dr – Driving Dangerous – The plate number of a vehicle disobeying a stop sign was obtained. Registered Police spoke to the registered owner and warned them regarding driving action.

5:33 pm – 4th Ave NW at Hochelaga St W – Recovered Stolen Bike – A bike was returned to the owner. An adult was charged with possession of stolen property.

7:10 pm – 400 block Langdon Cr – Unwanted Guest – An adult was spoken to and left on Police request.

7:42 pm – 1500 block Stadacona St W – Threats – Options were provided to a complainant. 

8:23 pm – 200 block 1st Ave NW – Intoxicated Person – An adult was arrested for public intoxication and was issued a ticket for drinking in a public place. The individual was detained in cells until sober.

8:47 pm – 800 block Athabasca St E – Mischief – There was approximately $1,000 of damage to the window of a vehicle. Police are investigating to follow up with suspect.

8:50 pm – 200 block 1st Ave NW – Unwanted Guest – A subject was spoken to and left on Police request.

9:24 pm – 500 block Stadacona St W – Recovered Stolen Vehicle – A vehicle was towed to be processed by the Identification section. Police are still investigating.

9:39 pm – 0 block Fairford St E – Intoxicated Person – An adult was arrested for public intoxication and was issued a ticket for having alcohol in a public place. The individual was detained in cells until sober.

10:32 pm – 1100 block Bogue Ave – Wellbeing Check – The subject is fine; some communication was misconstrued by a complainant. The complainant was advised of the outcome.

11:08 pm – 500 block 9th Ave NW – Obstruct/Evade Peace Officer – a vehicle evaded Police after a vehicle stop was attempted. A description of the driver and vehicle was obtained and other Police agencies were notified to be on the lookout.

11:50 pm – 800 block Duffield St – Breach of Court Orders – Two Adults were arrested and charged with breach of no contact conditions. Both were detained in cells to attend court in the morning.

12:20 am – 0 block Manitoba St W – 2 Vehicle Collision – a semi sideswiped a car and caused approximately $20,000 of damage. The driver of the semi was charged with operating other than on a truck route. One vehicle was towed.

3:32 am – 1100 block Coteau St W – Wellbeing Check – The subject is fine; just sleeping. The complainant was advised.

Police responded to four 911 calls.
Police attended to one parking bylaw.
Police responded to one alarm call.
One person failed to appear in court.
Police assisted four other agencies.
