Moose Jaw Police responded to 55 calls for service.

8:18 am – 1000 block Corman Cr – Fraud (Scam) – A subject was the victim of a scam and is out money.  This was reported for informational purposes.

8:31 am – 1300 block Algoma Av – Well Being Check – Subjects were found to be in good health.

8:59 am – 300 block Ominica St W – Threats – A complainant was confronted by an unknown person who advised they were going to attend back with friends.  No further incidents occurred.

9:41 am – 600 block Thatcher Dr E – Recovered Stolen Property – A stolen plate was recovered on a vehicle it does not belong on; tires not belonging to the vehicle owner were found in the vehicle as well.  The plate was returned to its rightful owner, and the tires were exhibited by police.

10:08 am – 0 block Diefenbaker Dr – Hit & Run – This occurred between 9:00 and 10:00 am; a vehicle was hit while parked at a hospital, causing approximately $4000 of damage.  Police are still investigating to review the video.

10:59 am – 1300 block Gordon Rd – Assault – Kids were tossing around a paint can, one person was hit in the head causing a minor cut.  Unintentional injury, kids are to be spoken to.

11:57 am – 1300 block Caribou St W – Break & Enter – This occurred sometime since Thursday. Nothing was missing, and there was no damage.

1:21 pm – 1100 block Lillooet St W – Assault – This occurred on Tuesday. A subject was hit by a metal bar and wooden stick by a known suspect.  Police continue to investigate.

2:46 pm – 200 block 2nd Av NW – Hit & Run – This occurred sometime between April 26 to May 15, unknown where, and unknown if there was damage or paint transfer.

3:21 pm – 1000 block 6th Av NE – Dispute – A complainant confronted the driver of a vehicle as they did not like their driving actions.  The driver and parents showed up at the complainant’s residence.  All parties were spoken to and the situation was mediated.

3:50 pm – 1400 block Stadacona St W – Hit & Run – This occurred sometime since Tuesday. There was approximately $2500 of damage to the vehicle.

4:44 pm – 800 block Hochelaga St E – Assault – A complainant was assaulted by a subject known to them.  Upon police arrival the parties had talked out the situation and no longer wished for police involvement.

4:44 pm – 600 block Caribou St W – Erratic Driving – The plate number and vehicle description were obtained from a vehicle that drove into oncoming traffic to get around another vehicle that was turning.  Police are still investigating to speak with the registered owner.

4:50 pm – 900 block Coteau St W – MVA – A vehicle hit a parked car causing approximately $25,000 of damage. There was one minor injury and both vehicles were towed.

6:05 pm – 700 block Main St N – Abandoned Vehicle – A vehicle was left parked on the sidewalk with no one around.  Police attended and towed the vehicle.

6:45 pm – 300 block Ominica St W – Dispute – Subjects were going through a break-up; there were no grounds for a restraining order, and the subjects were advised to cease contact.

7:54 pm – 0 block Flax Rd – Impaired Driving – A vehicle collided with a residence, and the driver of the vehicle was found to be impaired.  The subject was charged for impaired driving and exceeding .08, and was released to a sober family member to appear in court at a later date.

8:11 pm – 900 block Albert St – Mischief – a vehicle was observed on camera “brake torqueing” on the subject’s driveway.  Police are investigating to review the video and attempt to identify the vehicle.

8:20 pm – 300 block Fairford St W – Dispute – There was a verbal dispute between two parties. The subjects agreed to separate for the night.

8:53 pm – Main St N at Ross St W – MVA – A vehicle hit a median, knocking over a sign and causing approximately $1000 of damage. There was one charge for driving without due care.

9:46 pm – 0 block Arrowhead Rd – Unwanted Guest – A subject attended a residence intoxicated and started a dispute.  The intoxicated subject was detained on outstanding warrants, and was held in custody until sober.

10:27 pm – 800 block Macdonald St  - Assist to Locate – A subject took off from supervising staff.  Several locations were checked with negative results.  Police continue to investigate.

10:41 pm – 1400 block Sioux Cr – Barking Dog – There have been ongoing issues with a barking dog.  The homeowner was warned under the bylaw.

11:52 pm – 4th Av NE at Hochelaga St E – MVA – A vehicle hit a tree causing approximately $5000 of damage. There was one tow and two tickets were issued for driving without due care and driving as a learner without a supervising driver.

12:49 am – 100 block Duffield St – Attempted Robbery – A subject was confronted by an unknown person with a knife demanding money.  The subject had no property to provide to the suspect, who fled area on a bicycle.  A description of the suspect was provided, and the area was checked but the suspect was not located.  Police continue to investigate.

3:30 am – Main St N at Thatcher Dr W – Impaired Driving – A subject was found asleep at the wheel of a vehicle.  The subject was charged for impaired driving, possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana and possession of a prohibited weapon.  The subject was held in cells to be released by a Justice of the Peace on numerous conditions, including attending court at a later date.

4:22 am – 0 block Athabasca St E – Theft Under – a subject stole a cell phone belonging to the complainant.  The suspect is to be charged.

Police responded to twelve 911 calls.
Police assisted other agencies in two instances.
Police responded to three parking bylaw infractions.
Police completed two curfew checks.
Police executed two warrants.
