Mrs. Hazel Andrews, age 89, of Chaplin, passed away on December 31, 2012.  Born August 11, 1923 at Tugaske, SK to Bert and Beatrice Stebbins, Mom attended Tugaske School and Normal School in Moose Jaw. She taught at Antelope Creek School and Pine Lake School. She married James (Jim) Andrews on October 22, 1945. From this union chosen twins arrived - Barry and Bonny. They resided on the farm in the Halvorgate District until Jim's passing and she moved to Chaplin. When her health started to deteriorate she moved to Chez Nous in Moose Jaw then to Regency Manor in Central Butte. Mom enjoyed gardening, flowers, reading, sewing and most of all reading stories to her 4 granddaughters. Mom spent many hours playing the organ and piano and enjoyed her time playing for the church. She also spent a lot of time on genealogy researching the Stebbins' and Andrews' family history. Hazel was predeceased by her parents Bert and Beatrice, her husband, Jim of 57 years in 2002, and great-granddaughter Rebecka Seann Gray in 1997. She is survived by her daughter Bonny (Gary) Adrian, son Barry (Doreen) Andrews, grandchildren: Corrie (Wade) Gray, Sherry (Len) Martens, Angie (Jody) Gerbrandt, Nikki (Will) Geiger, great-grandchildren: Andrew, Emma and Noah Gray, Spencer and Marcus Martens, Jordyn, Kaden and Janessa Gerbrandt, Ava, Madyson, Billie and Leayne Geiger; sisters-­in-law, Carol Andrews and Evelyn Christenson. The Funeral Service will be held at the Chaplin Community Complex on Friday January 4, 2013 at 2:00 pm. Pastor Marvin Seaborg will officiate. Flowers are gratefully declined, donations to Chaplin United Church, would be appreciated. In living memory of Hazel, a memorial planting will be made by W. J.
