We’re only a couple of weeks into the Moose Jaw and District Chamber of Commerce Big Give program and they are already over halfway to their $20,000 goal.

Funds raised from the Big Give will be going to participating local restaurants to purchase meals that will go to the Moose Jaw and District Food Bank and Hunger in Moose Jaw.

As of Monday, the Big Give has raised over $11,000.

“The way Moose Jaw has been supporting this cause has been absolutely awesome, but we don't want to stop here. We want to keep on going,” said chamber CEO Rob Clark.

A finalized list has been released this week of 19 restaurants that are taking part. Clark says they’ve had an amazing response from local restaurants.

“It's actually been great with the restaurants. They've been calling in, I've been stopping by to make sure everybody is interested and know what's happening,” said Clark.

The restaurants taking part include:

  • Taco Time
  • Boston Pizza South
  • Déjà vu
  • Hopkins Dining Parlour
  • Streets Steakhouse
  • Tim Hortons
  • Mad Greek
  • Smitty’s/Bugsy’s
  • The Crushed Can
  • The Canadian Brewhouse
  • Rosie’s on River Street
  • SuperMeats Catering
  • Dairy Queen
  • Booster Juice
  • Veroba’s
  • Boston Pizza Main and Thatcher
  • The Flats Steak House and Lounge
  • Bobby’s Place

Clark said the first meal will be delivered on March 18 from the Mad Greek.
