Chiefs Sweep Weekend

The Moose Jaw Chiefs are rolling with four straight wins in the Prairie Gold Lacrosse League's senior division.

The Chiefs added two more notches to the win column on the road over the weekend with a 9-8 win over the Prince Albert Outlaws on Saturday and then they topped the Saskatoon Plainsmen, 20-3, on Sunday.

The two wins push the Chiefs' record to 7-4 on the year with three games remaining in the regular season.

Tanner Kittler exploded for five goals and seven points in Saturday's win in Prince Albert. Carter Davis also had a hat trick and five points, while Kyle Dalgarno registered a goal and two points.

Moose Jaw and Prince Albert were tied every step of the way during Saturday’s game. Davis scored the game winner with nine seconds remaining in regulation to secure the victory.

The Chiefs carried that momentum over to Sunday in the Bridge City as they collected a lopsided win over the Plainsmen.

Dalgarno registered six goals and seven points to lead the way for the Chiefs in Sunday's win. Kittler added three goals and six points to his total from Saturday, while Todd Doepker chipped in with three goals and five points.

Davis and James Copeman scored twice in the win, while Matt Lys, Thomas Spence, Nathan McKenna and Jeff Kitts also found the back of the net.

The Chiefs are off until Friday when they host the Plainsmen at the Kinsmen Arena.
