The Moose Jaw Warriors are WHL Champions for the first time in their 40-year history!

The Warriors beat the Portland Winterhawks 4-2 last night, sweeping the championship final in 4 straight. 

Brayden Schuurman scored the winning goal in the 3rd period with 5:53 left on the clock.

The Warriors have a week off, before heading to the 104th Memorial Cup in Saginaw, Michigan, one week from Friday.

At Stanley Cup Playoffs, the Colorado Avalanche are still in it, beating the Dallas Stars 5-3 in Game 5. The Stars still lead the series 3- 2.

In Major League Baseball, the Toronto Blue Jays fell to the Baltimore Orioles 3-2 yesterday.
