As the SGEU continues to battle with the province, here in Moose Jaw the local fire fighter's association is heading to the final stage of their contract dispute with the city.

The Moose Jaw Fire Fighters Association is gearing up for binding arbitration with the City as they continue to reach an agreement on a new contract.

The local fire fighters have been without a contract for 2 years now and will meet with an arbitrator February 19th according to Association President Bill Howes. "There's a number of different items that we still have on the table. We still have to sit down with the city and decide what we're taking for sure but the main item is wages."

Binding arbitration is the last step in contract talks between the fire fighters and the city, as the fire fighters association has a no strike clause in their contract.
