There was a doubleheader on Wednesday night at Elks Field in the Moose Jaw Kinmen Minor Football Leauge with both the Pee Wee and Bantam divisions taking to the field.

The Bombers came out on top, 30-12, against the Assiniboia Rockets in Pee Wee action.

The two teams exchanged touchdown runs in the first quarter with the Rockets striking first on a 45-yard run by Carter Johnson.  The Bombers answered just over four minutes later with an 18-yard score by Houston Ramage.

A big defensive play in the second quarter gave the Bombers the lead as Tyler Lorenz scooped up a fumble and ran it back 42 yards to put his team up 12-6 heading into half time.

The Bombers extend the lead in the third with a three-yard TD run by Ramage.

The Rockets ended the Bombers scoring run in the fourth with a two-yard TD by Jett Zahariuk, but that would be as close as they would get.  Ramage added a five-yard TD for his third score of the game and Barritt Sitavanc caught a 16-yard TD with 1:12 remaining to put the game away.

Sitavanc was named the Bombers MVP for the game and says felt great to score his first touchdown, "It was the first catch of all the seasons I've been playing, two years.  I was so excited, my team was too."

In the Bantam game, the Raiders remained undefeated with a 26-6 win over the Colts.

Next action for the MJKMFL is coming up on Friday when the Riders face off with the Ti-Cats in the Pee Wee division and the Assiniboia Rockets face off with the Falcons in Bantam action.
