A prolonged contract battle between CUPE Local 9 and the City of Moose Jaw has ended.

A four-year deal, retroactive to 2015, was approved at City Council last night, affecting about 200 city workers.

The previous deal expired at the end of 2014, prompting a long and sometimes contentious negotiation process between the two sides.

City Human Resources Manager Al Bromley says they were "pleased" to finally get a deal done.

We'll have more details on the contract, and reaction from CUPE Local 9 President Stacey Landin, on Wednesday.
