Taking an extra few days to decide, Brian Swanson has submitted his name for the Prairie South School Board once again.  The current member of Moose Jaw City Council and the Prairie South School Board is seeking re-election to both positions this fall.

After serving one term as a trustee, Swanson believes he's got a feel for things now and he wants to dive deeper into some of the problems that he see's.

"I think there are a lot of changes that we need to bring to the school division," he explained. "We're facing significantly declining enrolment, while the central office grows, from teachers I hear that they're inundated with paperwork from above and it's impacting their ability to be good teachers in the classroom and a lot of financial issues."

Swanson would like to see more resources in the classroom, while improving the math and writing skills of the students.  Swanson is one of 13 candidates running for Prairie South in subdivision 6, that represents Moose Jaw.
