Police, firefighters and SaskPower workers were on the scene just after lunch on Monday, after a vehicle jumped the curb and collided with a street lamp on the northeast corner of Main St and Oxford St.

Firefighters cordoned off the nearby sidewalk due to downed electrical wires running between the lamps, and after the SaskPower workers arrived on the scene, they confirmed the lines to be dead on collision, and not dangerous. The vehicle was heavily damaged and nonoperational. The driver was luckily unharmed.

No more information is available at this time, and the cause of the accident is still under investigation.
