A little move on the Operating Budget for Moose Jaw thanks to the provincial budget last week and some extra cash.

A bit of breathing room for Moose Jaw City Council after last week's provincial budget.

As we told you last week there was an increase in revenue sharing and that means more cash for us according to Finance Director Brian Acker.

"The provincial budget announced provincial revenue sharing to the cities. The city's share is $412, 574 and so we factored that into our budget calculations. We were anticipating about $305,000 so it does make a bit of a difference. So instead of a 3.45 percent tax increase we're now at 2.72."

But budget talks are just getting underway and that number could go up or down depending on what council decides in the coming weeks.
