With the bases loaded and two out, right-handed relief pitcher Jesse Scholtz was able to get the final out to give the Moose Jaw Miller Express the 7-6 win Thursday night at Ross Wells Park, against the Swift Current 57s.  

With the win, the Miller’s extend their winning streak to seven games, improve their record to 7-3, and continue to sit atop the Western Canadian Baseball League East Division.  

Cam Grant led the Millers going two for four with a home run, a double, and two RBIs. Austin Gurney also hit a four-bagger for the Express, his third of the year.  

On the mound, Jeremiyah Padilla picked up his first win of the season, pitching three innings, and striking out two.  

Moose Jaw will be continuing their three-game homestand this weekend with a match-up against the Weyburn Beavers on Saturday at 7:05 pm, and then a rematch with the Swift Current 57s on Sunday, first pitch will be at 2:05 pm.
