Five more cases added Thursday to the province’s list of COVID-19 case for a total of 331, plus there are now six people in hospital compared to five Wednesday.

The total Thursday includes one presumptive case.

Nine more recoveries were announced today as well, dropping the number of active cases to 57. 

The total number of recoveries is now 270. Six people are in hospital in the province, and one of those people is in intensive care with the rest in inpatient care.

The death toll in Saskatchewan has once again stayed at four.

Of the cases, 136 are travel-related, 142 are community contacts or mass gatherings, 33 have no known exposures and 20 are under investigation by public health.

Thirty-six of the cases are health care workers, and the province says the infections may not be because of their health care in all instances.

A total of 150 of the cases are from the Saskatoon area, 71 are from the Regina area, 62 are from the north, 22 are from the far north, 15 are from the south and 11 are from the central region.

Twenty-six cases are of people 19 and younger, and 75 are in the 60-and-older range. Fifty-one  per cent of the cases are male and 49 per cent are female.

Thusfar, 25,872 tests have been performed in Saskatchewan.

Nationally there are now over 41,500 positive cases, with over 2,100 deaths recorded. Over 14,500 recoveries have been noted across the country as well.

Meanwhile, in the United States, there have been over 867,000 cases and nearly 49,000 deaths counted.
