The Moose Jaw Kinsmen Flying Fins played host to the Saskatchewan Junior Provincial meet over the weekend, winning a total of 16 medals.

The Flying Fins beat 84 per cent of their personal bests, including Cole Hrechka, who swam 100 per cent personal best times. He won one gold, five silver and one bronze and was selected as the team's male swimmer of the meet.

Hrechka also placed third in the Swim Saskatchewan Most Improved 11 and under boys' category.

Meanwhile, Damon Chartrand won a pair of gold medals in the boys' 14 and over 50 metre free and the 200 metre breast.

Xander Penner won a couple of silver medals in the boys' 11 and under category in the 200 metre IM and 400 metre free.

Adam Lazurko and Emily Lin each came away with silver medals, while Gavin Abrahamson, Richard Lai and Molly Mack all won bronze medals.

Abby Bowles was named the Flying Fins' swim of the meet for her performance in the 200 metre freestyle. She improved on her personal best by 16.24 seconds and achieved two new provincial "A" time standards.

Colten Cushing's 200 metre freestyle was the Flying Fins' male swim of the meet. Cushing improved his personal best by 24.34 seconds.
