The Moose Jaw Warriors are preparing for their last two regular season games prior to playoffs. The team next travels to Brandon on Thursday to face the Wheat Kings, with their final regular season game this Saturday at the Moose Jaw Events Centre against the Regina Pats.

In high school basketball, the future of Hoopla is currently up in the air. Job action announced by the Saskatchewan Teachers' Federation yesterday pulls voluntary services from extracurricular activities this Thursday and Friday. The Saskatchewan High Schools Athletic Association says that Hoopla can only go ahead if sanctions are lifted by 3 p.m. tomorrow.

The 2024 Canadian Wheelchair Curling Championships start this Sunday at the Moose Jaw Events Centre, with 14 teams competing from across the country.

Over to the NHL, the Calgary Flames fell to the Washington Capitals 5-2. Alex Ovechkin scored two times for the winners. The Flames are 8 points behind Vegas for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference.
