The Wakamow Valley Authority is hosting a Christmas Craft and Bake Sale Saturday, Nov. 9, from 10 am until 3 pm at the Sportsman Centre.

Trish German, administrator and events coordinator for the Authority said all proceeds raised in the bake sale portion of the sale will be put towards maintaining the Sportsman Centre, which may include some renovations next year.

"We've looked at possibly new flooring," said German. "We always need new equipment for the kitchen, bar, stuff like that. This is kind of a general coffer kind of fund, just to maintain the hall so it's a good venue for any kind of function you may want to have in there."

German said the goodies will be supplied by a generous group of volunteers who will have of things available from zucchini chocolate chip muffins, Rice Krispie treats, cookies, carrot cake, and more.

"There's one key lime pie. So first person who sees that is definitely going to be walking away happy."

Shoppers will also have the chance to get started on their Christmas shopping. The sale will include 24 different craft and sale items.

"We have a ton of vendors selling their amazing homemade goods and their home-based business products."

There's a $3 admission price at the door, kids 12 and under are free.
