Genearls' Regan Nagy puts a shot just over the shoulder of Harvest goalie Spencer Bomboir

For the second straight game, the Moose Jaw Generals are leaving Mosaic Place with one point after a 1-1 tie.  This one came on Saturday afternoon against the Yorkton Harvest.

The Generals have been struggling to score goals and that was the case again on Saturday.  They weren’t without their chances throughout the game, but just couldn’t bury their opportunities.

The two teams skated through a scoreless first period and Moose Jaw was the first team to break through when Cohen Yano scored 6:31 into the second period.  The lead didn’t last long though as Yorkton responded with a goal by Lynndon Pastachak just over seven minutes later.

The score would remain that way through the rest of regulation despite some late pressure by the Generals as they looked for the win.

Moose Jaw controlled much of the play in overtime with both Trey Tendler and Regan Nagy getting scoring chances, but they couldn’t beat Yorkton goalie Spencer Bomboir.

The Generals threw 29 shots on the Harvest netminder.  Ryland Pashovitz wasn’t as busy with just 17 saves in the game, but many of them were quality saves with Yorkton getting some good chances.

The tie puts the Generals record at 11-7-3 on the year.

These two teams will be back in action on Sunday afternoon again at Mosaic Place.  Puck drops at 1:30pm.
