Moose Jaw Warriors General Manager Alan Millar has announced that 16-year-old Colton McCarthy has been called up for the remainder of the season.

 

McCarthy, who hails from Salmon Arm, BC, was listed by the Warriors and attended their 2012 Training Camp, he signed with the organization after camp was completed.

 

McCarthy played in 25 games with the Nelson Leafs of the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League this season.  He scored 20 goals, which was second in the league, and was second in team scoring with 30 points.  He was second on the Leafs in power play goals with three, he was tied for the team lead in shorthanded goals with two and he led the team in game winning goals with two.

 

McCarthy played four games earlier this season with the Warriors, and will rejoin the team on Monday.
