Jayden Halbgewachs added another award to his haul from the 2017-18 season over the weekend.

The Moose Jaw Warriors sniper walked away from Memorial Cup weekend with the CHL's Top Scorer Award, picking up the honour during Saturday's award ceremony in Regina.

Alex Barré-Boulet of the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada earned CHL Player of the Year honours.

Halbgewachs finished his WHL career with a season to remember as he led the CHL with 70 goals and 129 points in 72 games. The 21-year-old was the first player in the WHL to reach the 70-goal plateau since Pavel Brendl in 1998-99.

The Emerald Park product is moving onto the pros now after signing a three-year entry level contract with the San Jose Sharks during the season.

Everett Silvertips goalie Carter Hart became the first ever two-time winner of CHL Goaltender of the Year, while Swift Current Broncos forward Aleksi Heponiemi was named the CHL Sportsman of the Year.
