CT-155 Hawk

For the second time this year, some of the students at 15 Wing Moose Jaw are stuck in the classroom.

An incident in the United Kingdom that has killed a member of the Royal Air Force Demonstration Team known as the Red Arrows, has lead to an operational pause for pilots using the CT-155 Hawk. The Red Arrows use a similar jet to the ones used at 15 Wing and while the investigation into the cause of the death is underway, pilots at the local training base won't be flying.

During the summer, the Hawk fleet was placed on Operational Pause after a crash in Cold Lake, Alberta.  It led to some Bombardier staff being placed on temporary layoff.
