Issues continue for Hillcrest Golf Club as a tent was found on the grounds by their staff this morning.

“We’ve got our maintenance crew back on now, so we’re starting to do some prep out on the course,” said Jasmine Cameron, general manager with Hillcrest Golf Club.

“As those guys were out there doing their jobs, they noticed a little bit of a colour in the trees.”

She said on closer inspection, staff found a living area with a tent and a number of items. Police arrived quickly when they were called to respond to the situation.

Cameron said they aren’t sure how long the individuals were in the area, but that they “had quite the set up”.

Police said they responded at 1599 Main Street North at 11:30 a.m. this morning, and two men received charges for possession of stolen property and one ticket was issued for trespassing.

One of the men had outstanding warrants and was found to be breaching his release order.
