After a very heated end to the year, Moose Jaw City Council has passed a motion to hopefully promote more negotiations between the city and the Humane Society.

You may remember the two sides got into a war of words when it was revealed the contract for animal control wasn't going to be renewed and the city was going to take over January 1st.  After a week long argument that had a lot of residents upset, the two sides agreed to extend the contract for three months to see if they couldn't reach a new deal.

Monday night, council passed the motion worth $17,000 a month, good through to the end of March.
