The numbers tell the story.

Last year Hunger in Moose Jaw packed and delivered more than 40,000 lunches into the Prairie South and Holy Trinity School Divisions as well as the Summer Parks and Recreation Program.

It packed 57 hundred Good Food boxes. It provided nutritional and educational programming to about 460 families. And it directly affected the lives of close to two thousand people.

At their annual general meeting Wednesday evening, administrator Carol Acton explained how Hunger in Moose Jaw is able to accomplish so much. "Part of that is because its a community based organization, it came from the community and part of that is that its 15 years old. We've also put into place things that hold us to a certain standard and so that always helps in any workplace... we have a really strong board, good employees and a wonderful community."
