An incident at 15 Wing involving a CT156 Harvard II training aircraft in under investigation by the Royal Canadian Air Force’s Directorate of Flight Safety.

In a written statement from 15 Wing Public Affairs Officer Cpt. Jean Doyon, the incident occurred on June 12 at about 10:11 a.m. when the aircraft made a successful gear-up landing.

Two aircrew members were on board the aircraft and were taken to hospital as a precautionary measure and released.

Doyon’s statement said no other details would be released at this time “to ensure the integrity of the investigation process.”

According to the RCAF’s website, the CT-156 Harvard II aircraft is used to help new pilots move from basic flight training to high-performance jet training.
