Still nothing, not even an idea of what's causing it.  The experts are stumped too.  The main pool at the Kinsmen Sportsplex remains closed to the public as water clarity issues continue to cause problems for staff and local swimmers.  It has been incredibly frustrating for users and staff.

As those involved continue to search for source of the cloudy water, resulting in a safety risk for swimmers, many are questioning why they don't just drain the pool and start over.  "If we dump it and then refill it, we could end up in the same situation again because it could be a bit of a source water issue with the city's water," explained Parks and Recreation Director Jody Hauta.

"That's why we're working with the consultant to determine what the issue is, find the source of that colour and find ways of fixing that colour and clarity issue."  Plus that's 330,000 gallons of wasted water, not exactly cheap to replace or environmentally sound.  Hauta says they'll continue to use consultants until a solution is found so that, if this problem ever comes up again, they can fix it.
