A young offender has been sentenced to 18 months in custody after being sentenced in Moose Jaw Provincial Court.

18 months in custody. One year in the youth detention centre followed by 6 months in the community.

A youth is facing a tough year-and-a-half but he's paying the price for some serious crimes. The local boy was sentenced Tuesday for his part in an armed robbery at the South Hill Mac's Convenience Store back in early January.

The boy, who cannot be named, pleaded guilty to several charges relating to the robbery and the theft and attempted theft of several vehicles.

His partner in the Mac's robbery, Tyler Wayne Edwards, was sentenced to a total of 27 months in prison last month.
