One person spent the weekend in jail after a 911 call resulted in an unwanted search of a home and turned up a stolen firearm.

Moose Jaw Police received the 911 call on Saturday for an unknown incident and the caller immediately hung up.  When police arrived to the 0 block of Maple Street East, the resident said everything was fine but police must investigate all calls to 911 to verify there is no issue.

In doing so, they found ammunition in the home where a resident was forbidden from having a firearm.  The subsequent investigation led to a stolen firearm and ammunition.

The adult male was spent the weekend in custody and will be in court Monday on several firearms related offences.  No name has been released at this time.
