A pair of on-ice sessions for girls who may be interested in hockey is coming to Moose Jaw.

Players in the U7 and U9 and U11 age groups can register for sessions that are being organized by the Moose Jaw Mavericks female hockey program on Sunday.

The U7s will be on the ice at the Kinsmen Arena at 12 to 12:30 and the U9s and U11s will be on at 12:45 to 1:15 p.m.

Players need a stick, helmet, neck guard, gloves and skates, and a water bottle. Dressing rooms will be open and allowing for social distancing, and players are asked to arrive ready to go on the ice.

The sessions are open to players who are new to minor hockey and interested in playing.

Anyone interested can email Mavericks program director Dawn Froats at mavericks@mjhockey.com. Registrations are open to Moose Jaw residents only. Those who are outside the Moose Jaw area are asked to contact the Moose Jaw Minor Hockey office to confirm their eligibility.
