City Hall has sold about twice as many lots this year when compared to others and there's no sign of the trend slowing.

2007 has been an astonishing year for land sale in Moose Jaw as city hall has processed nearly twice as many as normal with 5 months left in the year.

City Clerk Steven Schiefner tells us the draw to Saskatchewan is really benefiting communities like Moose Jaw, where it's still affordable for housing and land.

"Typically we might sell 30 to 40 lots a year, the last couple years we've been selling 40 to 60 lots a year, and this year we're up around 90 lots."

The boom in land sales has pushed ahead work on Moose Jaw's newest subdivision being called West Park, north of VLA.
