Organic Producers from around the province will be gathering in Swift Current today for a Low-Input Agricultural Systems Field Day.

Registration is $20 for the event gets underway this morning at 9 o’clock.

Participants will have a chance to see some of the research work being done at SPARC focusing on the impacts of reduced tillage and diversified cropping under organic management.

Water and soil conserving tillage systems for organic crop production as well as wheat and oat varieties and the production, quality and use of 7 native forage perennial species in monoculture and mixtures.
 
Today’s organic field day takes place at Agriculture and Agri-food Canada’s  Swift Currents Sparc station.
