The provincial government reported another 355 cases of COVID-19 Saturday, bringing the total number of active cases in Saskatchewan up to 2,894. This is the highest active case count seen in the province since January 25th of this year, and up from 483 a month ago.  

There were another 2,812 doses of COVID-19 vaccine reported as administered, bringing the total number of fully vaccinated people in the province up to 700,593, which is 59.4 percent of the total population of the province. Another 7.3 percent are partially vaccinated.  

Of the new cases that were reported, the Saskatoon and North Central regions had the majority, with 110 and 73 cases respectively. Another 30 were reported in the Far North East region and 26 in the North West region. There were 23 new cases in the Far North West, 21 in the Regina region, 17 in the North East, 14 in the South East, 12 in the Central East, five in the South West, three in the South Central, two in the Central West and one in the Far North Central.  

The update Saturday reported there were three more people admitted to the hospital for treatment for COVID-19, with 138 now receiving care. The number of people in intensive care is 22.
