The Peacock boys golf squad is coming home with a bronze medal from the 2012 High School Golf Provincials in Prince Albert over the weekend.

Peacock finished in third place, 52 strokes behind Prince Albert Carlton, who were first, and 14 strokes off of Regina LeBoldus for second in the team event.

Leighton Bearchell was the top local individual finisher as he was tied for 10th after shooting an opening round of 80 on Friday and finishing with an 81 on Saturday at the Cooke Golf Course.

Brenn Roberge was 17th after firing rounds of 84 and 80; Nathan Corrin was 24th with an 87 and 81; and Avery Bender finished in 61st place after shooting a 95 and 97.

The third place finish is an improvement for Peacock on their 8th place finish last year.
