Moose Jaw Police received 55 calls for service.   

7:48 am – Unwanted guest reported on the 0 block of Arrowhead Road. Youth removed from home after Safety Plan made with Social Services. 

8:36 am – Auto theft reported on the 0 block of Main Street N. A Red Pontiac G5 bearing license plate 795 HVI was stolen from downtown. The matter is still under investigation.  

9:15 am – Mischief reported on the 800 block of MacDonald Street. Power box for the lights at the Skate Park damaged. The matter is still under investigation.  

9:22 am – Theft reported on the 1400 block of 9th Avenue NE. A youth was caught on video stealing from cars. The matter is still under investigation.  

10:13 am – Parking bylaw reported on the 900 block of Alder Avenue. A vehicle was parked blocking a driveway. It was towed and the owner will have to pay tow bill to get vehicle released.  The public is reminded to be mindful of all parking bylaws. 

10:20 am – Police were called for a well being check on the 200 block of River Park Drive. An adult was not communicating with family. Adult was fine and was advised of complaint. 

10:51 am – Police were called to assist to locate a youth that had left school without permission. The youth was located at home. 

11:19 am - Industrial accident reported on the 800 block of Snyder Road. Minor injury sustained by an adult on a work site.  

2:17 pm – Police were called to assist the fire department on the 1900 block of Coteau Street W. Welding spark caused fire on two train cars. No dangerous goods.  CPR Police attended to handle scene. 

3:31 pm – Dispute reported on the 1300 block of Simcoe Street. Child custody dispute, police advised third party they are not welcome on property. 

4:13 pm – Hit & Run reported on the 1200 block of 9th Avenue NW. One SUV collided with another SUV and failed to leave their information on the other vehicle.  Witnesses provided license plate number. The matter is still under investigation. 

4:32 pm – Police were called to the 0 block of Arrowhead Road to keep the peace while Social Services apprehends children.  Children apprehended without issue. 

5:10 pm – Collision reported on 1st Avenue NW and Oxford Street W. 2 vehicles, 1 tow, 1 minor injury, and approximately $7000 in damage. 1 ticket issued for proceed from stop sign before safe. 

5:53 pm – Unwanted guest reported on the 1700 block of Main Street N. Adult unruly in local business refusing to leave.  Left upon Police request and advised not to return. 

7:44 pm – Dispute reported on the 1300 block of Vaughan Street. Two adults arguing, the situation was mediated. 

7:49 pm – Dispute reported on the 1300 block of Simcoe Street. Upset as child not being returned on time.  Child was returned while still on the phone with police, the complainant was given options. 

8:36 pm – Impaired driver reported on 9th Avenue NW and Highway #1. Roadside breath demand given, result was a FAIL.  Adult was brought to cells and provided further breath samples and charged with impaired driving and over .08.  Vehicle seized for 60 days and license suspended indefinitely. 

11:14 pm – Police were called to the 400 block of Fairford Street E to assist at the hospital. Police assisted with an unruly patient.  Patient given options and agreed to calm down and stay put. 

1:16 am – Disturbance reported on the 0 block of Manitoba Street W. Adult refusing to leave a licensed premise was arrested for being drunk in public.  Upon search a knife was found concealed on their person.  Adult charged with possessing a weapon dangerous to the public and breach of Court Order.  Released in the morning with conditions to follow. 

3:40 am – Police were called to assist the EMS on the 100 block of High Street W. Adult distressed after a break up, caused self inflicted wounds. The individual was taken to hospital for treatment and to see Psychiatry. 

Police issued 1 warrant.

Police charged 1 person with a hit & run.

Police received five 911 calls.

Police received 1 alarm call.
