Moose Jaw Police responded to 52 calls for service.

8:38 am –200 Block North Service Rd – Assault – There was a physical altercation between two people, which ended with one person being charged with assault.

8:58 am – 300 Block High St W – Theft – A vehicle was gone through over night. The complainant thought the doors had been locked. Approximately $100 in change was stolen, as well as a cross that hung from a mirror.

9:09 am – 200 Block North Service Rd – MVA – A working vehicle hit a power pole, with approximately $20,000 damage.

9:19 am – 900 Block Lillooet St W – Suspicious Vehicle – A complainant passed a vehicle that had its doors wide open, and no one to be seen around. Police attended, secured the vehicle, and attempted to get in touch with the registered owner.

10:45 am – 1000 Block 2nd Av NW – Suspicious Occurrence – Two people were sitting on a roof, and a complainant thought it appeared unsafe as the people were screaming and howling. Police spoke with family members, no one was on the roof any longer.

10:50 am – 1500 Block 4th Av NW – Theft – A trailer was entered over night after a lock was broken off. Items were taken. Police are investigating.

10:52 am – 0 Block Lancaster Rd – Break & Enter – A building was entered between Tuesday and Thursday, and items were taken. Police are investigating to receive the list of items taken.

12:55 pm – 700 Block Main St N – MVA – An out of province vehicle hit a complainant’s vehicle; both were to head to SGI, but the out of province vehicle fled. Police are still investigating to go through the information gathered and locate the out of province vehicle.

1:01 pm – Fairford St at 5th Av NW – MVA – There was a two vehicle accident, with one person charged with leaving a stop sign before safe. There were two tows and one minor injury treated by EMS. Approximately $15,000 damage was done.

1:44 pm – 900 Block Athatbasca St E – Fraud – A complainant received a call in regards to a credit card being opened under their name. This occurred one year ago, and no money was lost.

1:56 pm – 900 Block Ominica St E – Found Bike – A bike was found in a yard, and the bike was picked up and brought to the police station.

3:26 pm – 800 Block Main St N – Harassing Calls – A person had another blocked, but somehow was still getting messages. They wanted the person spoken to and told not to contact them.

4:15 pm – 700 Block Main St N – Hit & Run – A vehicle hit a complainant and left the scene. The licence plate was obtained. Police contacted both parties to assist in name exchange. Approximately $1,500 damage was done.

5:36 pm – 1300 Block 3rd Av NE – Suspicious Occurrence – A person noticed a tent set up in an area with other belongings. Police attended and found a person living in the area. They spoke with the person and advised them to move along.

5:54 pm – 0 Block Athatbasca St W – Theft – A complainant stated that a theft occurred 5 minutes prior to the call, and there is video available. Police are investigating to obtain video and determine what was stolen.

6:12 pm – 1200 Block 11th Av SW – Noise Bylaw – A complainant stated that there is loud music coming from a unit. Police attended and found no music playing at the time; they spoke with the person in the unit in regards to bass from the stereo.

9:43 pm – 1200 Block Irving Av – Dispute Between Neighbours – There is an ongoing dispute between two households that is harassing in nature. Police spoke with one party and gave them options, and they will follow up with the complainant.

10:29 pm – 600 Block Laurier St – Suspicious Person – A person dressed in all dark was noted to be trying car doors in the area. A complainant yelled at the person, who then ran away. Police attended to the area, but they did not find anyone with the description provided.

10:49 pm – 0 Block Coteau St E – Break & Enter – A complainant stated they could hear someone attempting to break into the residence. Police attended to the area and found that a vehicle had broken down in the area, and they were attempted to get it going by banging on something. No break and enter was attempted.

2:47 am – 1400 Block Hochelaga St W – Noise Bylaw – A complainant called in stating that a bunch of people were playing basketball late into the night, keeping them awake. Police attended and spoke with an individual and advised them to shut it down for the night.
