Moose Jaw Police responded to 54 calls for service.

9:57 am – 600 Block 9th Av NW – Dispute– There was a verbal dispute between two parties resulting in one party packing up their belongings.

10:31 am – 200 Block Mulberry Lane – Theft – There was a theft of coins with an approximate value of $12. The complainant was unsure when this occurred.

10:30 am – 900 Block Athabasca St E – Found Property – A bike that was stolen was found by the owner in the yard.  The bike was returned to the owner.

10:53 am – 0 Block Oxford St W – Found Property – A blue, orange and black backpack was found in an alley and turned in to the police station.  Police are still investigating to locate the owner.

11:23 am – 1200 Block 2nd Av NW – Vehicle Seizure – An unregistered vehicle driven by a suspended driver was seized for 7 days. The driver was issued Summary Offence Tickets as well.

11:58 am – Regina – Mischief – There was an attempted entry to a vehicle that was parked in the hospital parking lot in Regina, causing approximately $20 of damage.

12:31 pm – 800 Block Chester Rd – Assist Sick Person – A subject was transported to the hospital, seen by medical staff, and transported back home.

12:50 pm – 500 Block Thatcher Dr E – Shoplifting – A youth subject was warned under the Youth Criminal Justice Act and turned over to their parents.

12:57 pm – 1100 Block 1st Av NW – Dispute – A subject was being ignorant and harassing city workers.  Police are still investigating to speak with City Workers to obtain statements for possible charges.

1:08 pm – 1300 Block Regal Cr – Barking Dog – A dog was barking since 7:00 am.  The homeowner was contacted and said they would attend home and deal with the dog.  The homeowner was warned of the Dog Bylaw.

1:54 pm – 1200 Block Main St N – Suspicious Occurrence – A child was running around without parental supervision, with no socks or shoes.  The child was returned to its family prior to Police arrival. The family was spoken to.

2:11 pm – 200 Block Hochelaga St W – MVA – There was a minor accident with a parked vehicle.  Police are to assist with a name exchange.

2:27 pm – 400 Block 9th Av SW – Hit & Run – This occurred September 6, 2017. The vehicle was damaged by a truck carrying a load of trees.

3:27 pm – 0 Block Buttercup Cr – Fraud – Police continue to investigate.

4:01 pm – 16th Av SW at Coteau St W – Traffic Bylaw – A 40km/hr zone was not being followed by drivers.  The area was monitored, with two tickets and two warnings being issued.

4:29 pm – 500 Block Coteau St W – Mischief – Sometime over the weekend unknown person(s) climbed a roof, damaged eave troughs, and smashed objects.  Police continue to investigate.

4:53 pm – 0 Block MacDonald St – Suspicious Occurrence – A child was running around without parental supervision, with no socks or shoes.  The child was located and returned home; Social Services was contacted as it was the same child as earlier in the day.

5:06 pm – 13th Av NW at Gordon Rd – Erratic Driving – A vehicle description and plate number were obtained for a vehicle that passed a complainant at a crosswalk in a 40km/hr zone.  Police are still investigating to speak with the complainant and the owner of the vehicle.

5:20 pm – 1700 Block Main St N – Fraud – Police continue to investigate.

5:56 pm – 0 Block Manitoba St E – Suspicious Person – An unknown subject made comments to a complainant regarding their daughter.  Police are still investigating to identify the subject.

6:45 pm – 900 Block Main St N – Assault – There was an altercation out front of a business.  One party was charged with assaulting the other.

7:10 pm – 1000 Block Iroquois St W – Mischief – A subject was using a vehicle and spinning the tires to shoot rocks. The subject was warned regarding the behaviour as per the complainant’s wishes.

8:19 pm – 0 Block Thatcher Dr E – Erratic Driving – A plate number and vehicle description were obtained from a vehicle that was weaving in and out of traffic. It nearly side swiped a few vehicles.  The driver of the vehicle was spoken to by police and warned regarding their driving actions.

8:31 pm – 900 Block Stadacona St W – Dangerous Dog – Three dogs were running at large.  The dogs were returned home prior to police arrival.

10:07 pm – 1100 Block 5th Av NW – Assault – A subject is to be charged with assault.

3:15 am – 400 Block Ominica St W – Noise Bylaw – A TV was blaring in a suite.  On Police arrival, it was quiet in the suite.  There was no answer at the door.  The tenant is to be warned under the Noise Bylaw.

Police responded to eight 911 calls.
