Moose Jaw Police responded to 41 calls for service. 

7:28 am – 700 block Fairford St W – Dispute – A truck was reported to be parked in front of overhead doors. The complainant couldn’t get out. A verbal dispute between the complainant and the registered owner of the vehicle ensued and was later mediated by police.

8:02 am – 200 block River St W – Towed Vehicle – A broken down vehicle without a license plate had been parked in front of a complainant’s residence for a week. The vehicle was found to be unregistered and was blocking a fire hydrant. The vehicle was towed.

8:34 am – 0 block Fairford St W – Breach of Court Order – A subject failed to appear for fingerprinting. A warrant was issued.

8:37 am – 1200 block Athabasca St E – Mischief – A complainant’s vehicle windows were smashed out sometime overnight. Approximately $2,000 worth of damage was done.

8:40 am – 1200 block 5th Av NW – Assault – Two adults were involved in a dispute that turned physical. One subject was charged with assault and was released on a later court date with conditions.

9:48 am – 0 Main St N – Theft – A wooden sign was stolen from private property and was worth approximately $500.

11:11 am – 0 High St W – Fraud – A subject misplaced their debit card and found that approximately $160 worth of charges were made. This is still under investigation for charges.

12:26 pm – 1100 block 5th Av NE – Assault – Two adults were involved. A subject assaulted the complainant last night. The subject was charged with assault and was released on a later court date.

12:59 pm – 1200 block 9th Av NE – Breach of Court Order – A subject breached a court order by driving in front of the complainant’s house. The subject was given a warning as per the complainant’s wishes.

3:18 pm – 1100 block Connaught Av – Dispute – One adult and one minor were asking for police assistance in retrieving property from another adult’s residence as they are worried that the situation might escalate if they arrived alone. Options were provided to them in regards to settling the dispute.

3:41 pm – 1100 block 2nd Av NE – Fraud – A complainant reported being defrauded of approximately $2000 on their credit card. This is still under investigation.

3:43 pm – 0 block Av SW At Vaughan St – Motor Vehicle Accident with Injury – A vehicle collided with a minor as they ran into traffic. Minor injuries were reported.

3:49 pm – 1400 block Grandview St W – Mischief – A vehicle was egged. A suspect was named and the file is still under investigation.

4:30 pm – 1300 block Queen Cr – Over Parked Vehicle – A vehicle was reported to have been parked in the same spot for over a week. The registered owner was spoken to and they advised that the vehicle will be moved.

4:45 pm – 9th Av NW at Athabasca St W – Dangerous Driving – A complainant reported seeing a vehicle driving through an intersection while they waited for children to cross. The registered owner of said vehicle was warned to be more attentive at intersections.

4:54 pm – 400 block Ominica St W – Disturbance – A complainant reported hearing banging noises at a residence. Two adult subjects were found to be calm on police arrival and admitted to having a verbal argument earlier. No further investigation was required.

11:29 pm – 10th Av NW at Ominica St W – Breach of Court Order – A subject’s curfew was breached. The subject will be charged.

3:17 am – 400 block 9th Av SW – Impaired Driving – An adult was given a roadside test which resulted in a FAIL reading.  The individual was brought to police cells for further breath samples, which resulted in the subject being charged with Impaired Driving and Over .08. The vehicle has been seized for 60 days with an indefinite license suspension and a future court appearance.
