Moose Jaw Police responded to 35 calls for service.

8:46 am – 800 Block Athabasca St E – Moose Jaw Police Service assisted the fire department at a garage fire. The damage is estimated at $50,000, and the police and fire departments continue to investigate.

9:12 am – Police are investigating comments made on Facebook.

9:42 am – 1000 Block 4th Ave SW – Theft from Vehicle – A GPS was stolen from an unlocked vehicle. The loss is estimated at $75, and police continue to investigate.

10:31 am 1200 Block 11th Ave SW – Fraud – Police are investigating a fraud, the loss is estimated at $1,000.

11:45 am – 1300 Block Grandview St W – Barking Dog – A complainant stated that there was an ongoing problem with barking dogs. The dog owner was spoken to and warned under the bylaw.

12:34 pm – Home St E at Main St S – Safety Concern – A complainant was concerned for the safety of two people on the river. The subjects were located drilling a hole in ice that is over 2 feet thick to obtain water samples, and they were not in any danger.

4:40 pm – 1300 Block Algoma Ave – Mischief – Sometime between 8 am and 4:30 pm a basement window was smashed; police continue to investigate.

8:39 pm – 700 Block Ominica St E – Dispute – A verbal dispute occurred between two parties. Both parties were spoken to, and one party agreed to leave for the night. The situation was mediated.

9:18 pm – 100 Block Athabasca St E – Assist EMS – Moose Jaw Police Service assisted EMS with a patient.

9:30 pm – 800 Block Hochelaga St E – Assist to Locate – A complainant was requesting police assistance in locating a family member. The adult subject was located and was in fine health. The complainant was advised.

9:53 pm – 0 Block MacDonald St – Well Being Check – A subject was asleep at a table. Police located the subject in fine health. They had just accidentally locked themselves out of the house, and had a coffee while considering their options.

9:55 pm – 1300 Block 13th Ave SW – Assist to Locate – A subject was not home for house curfew. The subject was located in fine health and brought home.

10:27 pm – 900 Block Lillooet St W – Assault – A dispute between two parties turned physical; the parties separated prior to police arrival, and the subject is to consider options.

10:43 pm – 1700 Block Main St N – Assault – A patron slapped a cab driver. Police attended and spoke to both parties involved. The police assisted with payment of the cab fare, and no further police action was requested by the complainant.

2:22 am – 200 Block Main St N – Intoxicated Person – There was a report of someone sleeping in the ATM area. Police attended and located the subject. The subject was arrested for being drunk in public, and the individual was brought to cells where they were held until sober.

3:10 am - 0 Block Diefenbaker Dr – Hit and Run – There was a report of a hit and run to a power pole by an unknown vehicle; police continue to investigate.
