Moose Jaw Police responded to 37 calls for service.

7:22 am – 1000 Block Stadacona St W – 911 Call – A complainant thought someone booted in the back door of their house while they were up front. Police attended and did not find that anyone had entered the home. The complainant was then arrested on outstanding warrants.

8:26 am – 400 Block 4th Av NW – Suspicious Occurrence – A person was let into the building, stating they were a family member of someone who lived there. After checking with family and other persons, the situation became suspicious. Police spoke with the parties involved and confirmed the person was family.

9:43 am – 1200 Block Duffield St – A vehicle was entered through an unlocked door sometime overnight. Approximately $12 in loose change was taken. The complainant wanted it reported for informational purposes.

10:01 am – 0 Block Manitoba St E – Possession of Stolen Property – A complainant stated they had video of a vehicle that had been reported stolen. The driver of the vehicle was identified, and police are investigating for charges.

10:48 am – 1100 Block Simpson Av – 911 Call – A 911 hang-up call occurred and upon calling back there was only silence. Police attended and spoke with the parties involved who were unsure of how the 911 call had even been placed.

10:56 am – 1000 Block 3rd Av NE – Found Property – A complainant was cleaning up the yard when they found a large knife, and they requested police to pick it up. Police attended and seized the item to be exhibited.

12:18 pm – 1300 Block Warner – Mischief – An unknown vehicle drove by and the person inside shot a pellet gun at another vehicle. A hole was noted on the complainant’s vehicle. This was reported for informational purposes.

12:33 pm – 800 Block 7th Av NE – Dispute – Two parties were fighting, with one hitting the other. Police are investigating for charges of assault with a weapon.

1:25 pm – 1100 Block Duffield Cres – Mischief – A vehicle was entered sometime overnight, at around approximately 2:30 am as the dog was barking, and the complainant was unsure if the vehicle was locked. Nothing was damaged, and nothing was missing. This was reported for informational purposes.

1:32 pm – 900 Block Hastings St – Suspicious Vehicle – A complainant stated that a person appeared to be dead in a vehicle idling across the street. Police attended and found the person sleeping in the vehicle and in fine health.

3:05 pm – 300 Block Saskatchewan St W – MVA – A two vehicle accident occurred and one party attempted to flee from police. This person was brought to Moose Jaw Police Service cells due to intoxication. The vehicle was towed.

3:33 pm – 1300 Block 12th Av SW – Dispute – A dispute occurred within a family. Police attended and attempted to mediate the situation, and one party was taken to hospital.

3:51 pm – 1st Av NW at High St W – Suspicious Vehicle – A complainant was crossing the street with the walk light still on when a vehicle came around the corner at a high rate of speed. Police spoke to the registered owner as the licence plate was obtained.

3:53 pm – 500 Block Thatcher Dr E – Theft Under – A suspect left with a basket full of items. Video led to an identified suspect. Police are investigating.

6:21 pm – 800 Block Main St N – Disturbance – A complainant stated a person was losing control, throwing stuff out a window. Police attended to the area and spoke with the parties involved, and one party agreed to clean up the mess. The situation was mediated.

7:22 pm – 2nd Av NW at Ominica St W – Parking Bylaw – A complainant was concerned about blind spots around where people are parking. Police monitored the area, and everyone was parked appropriately.

8:52 pm – 100 Block Oxford St E –Vehicle vs. Power Pole – A driver stated that they had a cough that led to the accident. The vehicle was towed, and SaskPower was required to attend to deal with the damage. Approximately $25,000 of damage was done. No injuries were reported and no charges were laid.

10:30 pm – 1200 Block Vaughan St – Suspicious Occurrence – A complainant stated that their neighbour has been blowing off fireworks over the past handful of evenings. Police attended to the area, but the residence in question was all dark, and no one answered the door. Police are investigating to get in touch with the residents.

3:16 am – 900 Block Normandy Dr – Assist EMS – EMS requested assistance with an unruly patient. Police attended and the subject was loaded into an ambulance to go to hospital.
