The Government of Saskatchewan and the National Allied Golf Association Saskatchewan branch have been working together to help people play golf in a safe manner during these strange times. The Government has made some changes to the restrictions affecting golf courses as part of the Re-Open Saskatchewan Plan.

The changes include;

  • A maximum of four players per group is permitted;
  • Tee times must be a minimum of 12 minutes apart to avoid congestion on the course;
  • Flags must remain in place and measures must be taken to prevent the ball from dropping in the hole, removing the need for players to contact the pin or cup;
  • Driving ranges, as well as practice putting/chipping greens, can open if physical distancing is maintained. Range balls must be cleaned and disinfected between players;
  • Retail sales must follow the Clothing and Retail Guidelines;
  • Group lessons and tournaments are prohibited, however, League play and one-on-one lessons may occur provided the criteria is met.

These measures have been put in place in order to ensure the public can enjoy golf while maintaining social distancing guidelines and group size laws.
