660 were tickets issued, 10 vehicles were impounded and it was all because of an increased effort to make Saskatchewan Highways safer.

RCMP were out in full force this past Labour Day weekend after a very dangerous year around the province.  Over 120 people have died on Saskatchewan roads so far with over 30 fatalities in the month of August.

With that in mind, officers had an increased presence on highways, trying to catch some of the problems before they happened.  People were fined for speeding, dangerous driving and impaired driving.  Two people had their vehicles taken away for flying down the highway at 165 km per hour.
