The City of Moose Jaw is reminding residents that there will be two temporary street closures for the Canada Day long weekend.

The 200 block of High Street West will be closed on Saturday starting at 9 a.m. for the Moose Jaw Legion’s third annual Canada Day Cabaret. Road closure signage will be in place until Sunday at noon.

On Canada Day, Manitoba Street between 12th Avenue Northwest and 16th Avenue Northwest, as well as 12th Avenue Northwest between High Street West and Manitoba Street West will be closed starting at 2 p.m. to begin setup for the Canada Day fireworks.

Sixteenth Avenue Northwest between High Street West and Ash Street will remain open during set up to allow access to the dog park. However, those roads will close during the fireworks display.

The roads closures will remain in place until about midnight.

Motorists are asked to obey all temporary signage and drive with caution in these areas for everyone’s safety.
