Returning officer Myron Gulka-Tiechko made the results of the Multiplex referendum official Friday afternoon with no change from the results reported referendum night.

The official numbers are 7626 for the resolution and 5099 against.  There were 48 rejected ballots where there was a defect on the ballot.

There was no recount needed as there was only 14 spoiled or declined ballots and a recount can only be called if the number of spoiled ballots is greater then the difference of the votes for or against.

The final voter turnout is the same as reported with a 49.5 percent turnout, seven percent higher than the 2006 Civic Election.
