A couple of Saskatchewan Roughrider veterans are coming back for another go around as the team announced on Tuesday that they have re-signed non-import linebacker Mike McCullough and non-import fullback Neal Hughes.  Financial details were not released.

McCullough (6’2 – 220) was originally drafted by the Riders in the third round, 23rd overall, in the 2003 Canadian College Draft. The ten-year veteran has appeared in 176 career games, including a current streak of 110 consecutive games played. Last season, the Kingston, ON native finished with 13 defensive tackles, ten special teams tackles and two quarterback sacks.

Hughes (5’10 – 208) will return for his tenth season after joining the Riders in 2004 as a free agent. Last season, the local product caught seven passes for 71 yards and one touchdown at fullback while adding six special teams tackles. The University of Regina graduate has recorded eight rushing touchdowns and six receiving touchdowns through 125 career games.

That brings the Riders' free agent list down to nine players left to sign, including defensive back Tyrone Brackenridge, defensive end Tearrius George, linebacker Cory Hulack, offensive lineman Alex Krausnick-Groh, cornerback Chris McKenzie, defensive back Eddie Russ, receiver Jordan Sisco, linebacker Shomari Williams and defensive end Odell Willis.
