The Saskatchewan Roughriders scored early and often off of turnovers as they won their fifth game in a row at Mosaic Place last night. The sea of green welcomed the Ottawa Redblacks, and the capital's team was defeated 40-18.

Saskatchewan Quarterback Cody Fajardo said his defence helped him a great deal early in the game.

"With our defence having three quick turnovers and giving us great field position, we knew field goals weren't going to get it done, so offensively I was really proud of the group, of being able to finish drives, I think we had two touchdowns and one field goal, went up 17 to nothing real quick, and that's all the to the credit of the defence."

The Riders are now 6-and-3 and in second place, heading into a Labour Day Classic against the first-place Winnipeg Blue Bombers, this Sunday at 1:00 pm.
