I think we all knew the honeymoon was over a long time ago.  Now the NDP continues its work towards a break-up between us and the Saskatchewan Party government.

In case you missed it, the NDP has scored a 2nd straight byelection win.  Vicki Mowat is the new MLA for Saskatoon Fairview.  The University of Saskatchewan executive assistant got the nod about an hour after the polls closed.

She's promising to fight government cuts and to focus on defeating the Saskatchewan Party in 2020.

Mowat called her win a "strong message", calling cuts to health care and education "heartless".

It's interesting to note, Mowat received about 60% of the 4572 votes cast and that adds up to just 36% of eligible voters in the constituency.

I believe this news tells us a couple of things.  One is NDP supporters are engaged right now and the road to the 2020 provincial election is going to be an interesting ride.
