SaskEnergy’s Tune-Up Assistance Program (TAP) is returning for income-qualifying homeowners in the province. Those that qualify will receive a free Network Home Heating Tune-Up as well as a carbon monoxide alarm, two standard furnace filters and up to $200 towards furnace repairs.

“Through its Tune-Up Assistance program, SaskEnergy is making furnace maintenance and carbon monoxide safety more accessible, helping ensure everyone has a safe, warm place to sleep at night,” said Dustin Duncan, Minister Responsible for SaskEnergy.

“This program is one more example of how SaskEnergy is giving back to the communities they serve.”

The program is offered through SaskEnergy Network Members and serves to bring attention to the importance of annual maintenance and the safety and efficiency benefits that result from properly maintained equipment.

“Safety is a top priority at SaskEnergy,” said Kevin Adair, SaskEnergy’s Executive Vice President of Customer Service Operations.

“Through programs like TAP, SaskEnergy helps homeowners improve the energy safety and efficiency of their natural gas furnace.”

In order to qualify homeowners must not exceed a combined annual household income of $68,000, their residence must be located within a 25 kilometre radius of a community that is served by a participating SaskEnergy Network Member and have not been a recipient of the program in the past two years.

Those interested in applying to the program can do so online from June 14 to January 3, 2025, with applications being accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Customers who wish to participate are encouraged to apply early.
