Have you been spending lots of time in the kitchen putting together some delicious meals the last few weeks?

Well Saskatchewan Snow Beef wants you to get into the kitchen and create the best dish or meal you can using as many provincial ingredients as possible.

The SaskFeedsMe contest is on now, and Owner/Operator of Saskatchewan Snow Beef, Ian Crosby, explains his inspiration behind hosting this competition.

Some of the prizes available to the winners of #SaskFeedsMe

“It's pretty amazing actually when you take the time to look around at the local producers that we have right here in the province and the great products that they produce. People are thinking, developing and creating ideas and I’m hoping over the next few weeks we see all sorts of posts of people getting into the kitchen and tagging the producers that they sourced out and incorporated into their dish.”

Crosby says the response has been excellent so far, but there is always room for more entries. If you want to get involved, all you have to do is get local ingredients from a local source like the Wandering Market or Moose Jaw Coop, take some pictures of your dish, and post it online using the hashtag #SaskFeedsMe.

Your creativity will pay off as well as there are some great prize packs up for grabs.

“There are two categories; which are amateur and professional" says Crosby, "Each winner will take home $250 worth of Saskatchewan Snow Beef product, a hat, t-shirt, a signed copy of Jenn Sharps book called Flat Out Delicious which is all about Saskatchewan food artisan, and the winner will also receive $1000 worth of ground hamburger from us which will be donated to the charity or food bank of their choice.”

Saskatchewan Snow Beef is located just west of Moose Jaw. More information on the competition, and their product is available online by searching Saskatchewan Snow Beef on Instagram or Facebook.
