Sasktel is expecting a busy and full time for their servers, as a huge amount of calls and messages are going to be sent on Christmas.

"We're actually expecting to see customers use 95,000 GB of data," said Greg Jacobs, Sasktel's Manager of External Communications. "That's remarkable remarkable because in years past, even last year alone, we were only expecting 73,000 GB of data to be used." 

On top of that, Sasktel is predicting 710,000 calls on December 25 this year. That estimate includes around 235,000 landline calls and 475,000 wireless calls. They also project around 4.5 million text messages will be sent out.

"Our network is designed to handle the massive amount of traffic that," added Jacobs. "However, there are a few things you can do to help reduce any sort of delays that you might experience with making a call. One of those things would be to try and avoid using then I work during the peak times 10 am and 2 pm or 7 pm and 10 pm."
