Family, friends and former students are mourning his loss.  Moose Jaw lost a special man last week when Scott Williamson passed away after battling cancer.

Williamson was a local educator who was working as principal at Central Collegiate when he was diagnosed a number of months ago.

It became clear to me how special he was when I saw the reaction to his passing on social media.  One young lady wrote, "You were an amazing man and did your best to make everyone feel like they were at home Central."

Another former student said, "This man knew the right words to say...He was funny, genuine and I appreciate him more than I ever really got to tell him."

The mother of one of Scott's students wrote, "Love you, Scott.  Thank you for being the man you were.  My kids and I will always remember what you did for us."

It's clear Scott Williamson was a very positive influence for many young people in our community and was highly respected by his colleagues.  It's also clear he made our world a better place.  May he rest in peace.
